Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a QR code?
Open SmartQR and tap the "+" button. Enter the URL or text you want to encode, customize the design, and tap "Create". Your QR code will be saved automatically.
How do I enable scan notifications?
Scan notifications are a Pro feature. After upgrading to Pro, open any QR code, tap the settings icon, and enable "Notifications". Make sure you've allowed notifications for SmartQR in your device settings.
Why am I not receiving scan notifications?
Please check the following:
- You have an active SmartQR Pro subscription
- Notifications are enabled for the specific QR code
- Notifications are allowed for SmartQR in iOS Settings
- Your device has an internet connection
How accurate is the location tracking?
Location data is derived from the IP address of the device that scanned your QR code. This provides approximate geographic location (typically city-level accuracy) and does not track exact GPS coordinates.
Can I edit a QR code after creating it?
You can edit the design of your QR code at any time. With SmartQR Pro, you can also edit the destination URL of dynamic QR codes without changing the code itself.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone to manage or cancel your SmartQR Pro subscription.
Is my data backed up?
Your QR codes are stored locally on your device and are included in your iCloud backup if enabled. Pro users also have their QR codes synced across devices via iCloud.
